The energy giant plans to sell its US wind business and integrate the assets with Lightsource bp

The company holds stakes in ten operational assets, with a total gross power generation capacity of 1.7GW.

The company has projects in Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Pennsylvania and South Dakota.

The company also owns interest in a wind asset in Hawaii.

The company aims to merge its onshore renewable energy initiatives with Lightsource bp, a solar energy developer in Europe, a business bp intends to acquire entirely.
