A new initiative has been introduced to assist households struggling with energy debt and improve home energy efficiency.
The scheme launched by E.ON Next, which begins with a pilot in Coventry, aims to support vulnerable customers by writing off their existing energy debt and providing various home upgrades.
Eligible participants will benefit from debt relief and receive improvements such as better insulation and more efficient appliances.
The programme also includes the installation of solar panels, batteries and a time-of-use tariff to help manage energy costs more effectively.
Chris Norbury, Chief Executive Officer of E.ON UK, said: “Our new pilot in Coventry is helping to design a blueprint for the energy system of the future, by replacing energy hungry white goods, writing off debt for customers so they can better manage their bills going forward and installing future home technology, such as solar panels, battery storage and heat pumps, to put them in charge of their energy needs.”
