Homebuilders Tilia Homes has secured funding to build 1,250 new homes each year in the UK

Homebuilders Tilia Homes has secured £125 million in funding to sustainably build 1,250 new homes each year.

The company aims to build houses whilst reducing its operational emissions by more than 70% in the next five years as well as reducing construction waste by more than 30%.

Tilia has also committed to addressing the skills shortage in the construction industry by doubling the number of employees on training courses.

Philip Chapman, Chief Operating Officer for Tilia Homes, said: “We strongly believe that sustainability is not just a goal but a necessity and we are embarking on a journey towards operational net zero, going beyond what is required by regulation.

“Within this we continue to explore new ways to incorporate innovative technology and materials into our designs to boost energy efficiency.”
