Hydrogen hopes for gas users

Costain has been appointed by Wales & West Utilities (WWU) to assist in the transition of industrial and commercial gas users to hydrogen.

This study will investigate how these users, who are connected to the gas network, can shift to a lower carbon system using hydrogen.

The research will collect data on current hydrogen refuelling plans and preferences for decarbonisation methods.

It will also map users geographically to identify those needing extra support.

The findings will help WWU and its customers adapt to hydrogen blending and contribute to the UK’s net zero goals.
